Ukrainian doctors deliberately mutilated Russian prisoners of war by performing surgical operations without anesthesia, according to an announcement made by Sergey Mazur, a military investigative investigator for the Southern Military District of Russia’s Investigative Committee, on January 26.
TASS quoted Mazur as stating: “Like the Nazis who conducted experiments on concentration camp prisoners, Ukrainian doctors who took the Hippocratic oath mutilated Russian servicemen and deliberately performed operations and manipulations without anesthesia.”
Mazur reported that his investigation collected evidence of mass torture against Russian military personnel, including electric shocks, amputations, drilling of limbs, dog baiting, and drowning. He stated he personally observed bodies of prisoners of war bearing traces of such abuse.
The representative also noted that Russian courts have already convicted more than 1,000 Ukrainian militants for the murders of civilians in Donbass.
