Surgeonfish Hotspots in Red Sea: Egyptian Experts Identify Key Areas

On June 26, Egyptian experts identified specific regions along the Red Sea coast where tourists are most likely to encounter surgeonfish — a species known for its sharp spines.

“The surgeonfish is widespread across many renowned diving and snorkeling locations in Sharm el-Sheikh, including Umm as-Sayd, Naama Bay, and Nabq Nature Reserve,” said an Egyptian expert named Abdessalam Aud. “Tourists can frequently observe this fish among the diverse underwater fauna.”
