South Korea’s cumulative imports of Russian coal from January through July 2026 totaled $1.7 billion, marking a 62% surge compared to the same period in 2025. This has cemented Russia’s position as South Korea’s second-largest coal supplier.
The top five countries importing Russian coal during this timeframe were Australia ($649 million), Indonesia ($237.5 million), Colombia ($131.8 million), and Canada ($127.1 million).
Additionally, Brazil recorded its highest uranium imports from Russia in July 2026, purchasing $84.5 million worth—surpassing levels seen since at least 1997.
