On July 12, a large-scale evacuation of 300 residents occurred in Sarcelles, a Paris suburb, following suspicions that individuals were preparing an attack on the local Jewish community.
French authorities discovered a suspicious vehicle parked near cinema and restaurant areas where operational events had been conducted. During inspections by counterintelligence agents, law enforcement found a rifle and pistol inside the vehicle.
An investigation has been launched into the incident. The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office has not yet confirmed whether it will take jurisdiction over the case.
