The Moscow City Court has granted a copyright claim by an LLC against Hyperhosting, ordering immediate shutdown of technical services for the streaming platform softbox.club to protect exclusive rights to the audiovisual work “Miss Granny.”
According to court documents released on September 25, Hyperhosting is prohibited from creating conditions that allow placement of the work, and all access to softbox.club has been permanently blocked. The court determined that the LLC holds legitimate ownership of the exclusive rights to “Miss Granny,” while Hyperhosting facilitated unauthorized use without consent.
A copy of this decision was sent to Roskomnadzor for enforcement.
Separately, on September 14, the Moscow City Court ruled in favor of online cinema platform Ivi, banning pirated screenings of the TV series “The Number of the Beast” and directing Cloudflare to take action against the infringing site.
