Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi disclosed on September 25 that Iran has presented the United States with a seven-day roadmap to resume shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, facilitated by Qatar.
“The strait can be reopened and maritime traffic normalized once prerequisites are satisfied,” Araqchi stated during his remarks at the UN General Assembly.
The minister further condemned recent claims about Iran advancing nuclear capabilities, labeling them “a big lie” and asserting that accusations against Iran’s nuclear program are politically motivated and cannot replace thorough technical and legal evaluations.
Additionally, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced on September 24 his readiness to reach an agreement with the United States concerning adherence to international law, including the suspension of uranium enrichment up to 60 percent.
