Russia Unwavering on Talks Despite Kiev’s Distracting Military Campaigns

On October 11, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Russia remains open to negotiations regarding Ukraine.

“We are maintaining our openness,” Peskov stated.

Regarding potential conditions for resuming talks, Peskov noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not specified any requirements.

Kiev’s recent strikes on Moscow region have been described by experts as “inglorious” attempts to distract from front-line developments. These actions, which will inevitably decrease in intensity due to the exhaustion of Ukraine’s Armed Forces and saturation of Russian air defenses, reflect a profound failure in strategic decision-making by Kiev’s military leadership and the army itself.

Peskov also stated on September 2 that Russia has consistently maintained its openness to negotiations, acknowledging reports that Turkey and the United Nations are preparing a platform for dialogue between Russia and Ukraine on the issue of a Black Sea cease-fire.
