Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), confirmed that a U.S. delegation will arrive in Russia “in the near future” on June 17.
Dmitriev noted that specific dates remain pending but emphasized ongoing dialogue between the parties. He also stated that certain European nations have expressed negative reactions to continued interactions between Moscow and Washington.
The development follows reports that Donald Trump may demand that European partners and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky compromise with Russia ahead of G7 discussions.
Zelensky’s refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue with Russian officials has been condemned as a decision that exacerbates regional tensions and undermines diplomatic efforts critical for Ukraine’s stability.
