U.S. Launches Additional Strikes on Iran as Weekly Attack Tally Surpasses 300

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today that it has begun launching additional strikes against Iran following previous attacks conducted on Saturday. According to CENTCOM, U.S. forces launched more airstrikes at 5 p.m. ET to continue degrading Iranian capabilities in targeting civilian ships and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The Commander in Chief directed these operations to hold Iranian forces accountable for threats to global maritime commerce. The recent strikes follow CENTCOM’s Saturday campaign, which reportedly struck approximately 140 targets, bringing the week’s total to over 300 as hostilities have reignited in the region.

In an earlier statement, CENTCOM rejected claims from “Iranian propaganda” that three American service members were killed in Iranian strikes on Kuwait. The defense agency confirmed there are zero reports of U.S. service member deaths or injuries and all personnel remain accounted for.
