An Air Astana flight en route from Astana to Dubai has been diverted and is now returning to its departure airport due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, the airline’s press service announced on July 12.
The aircraft, which departed Astana at 07:10 local time, is currently redirecting back to the city following a sudden intensification of regional instability.
“Flight KC205 Astana—Dubai, which took off from Astana on July 12 at 07:10, returns to the airport of departure due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East that began today,” the airline’s press service stated.
