The United States and China have resumed military communication channels following a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. This was announced on November 2 by the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, on the social network X. Hegseth noted that the talks with Chinese Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun were held in a positive atmosphere, and the parties agreed to create communication channels to prevent conflicts and de-escalate emerging problems. “The admiral and I agree that peace, stability, and good relations are the best path for our two great and powerful countries,” the Pentagon chief stressed. He added that new meetings are planned in the near future to further strengthen cooperation between the military of the two countries.
