Stockholm Police Open Fire at Royal Palace After Report of Armed Aggressor

Stockholm police have opened fire on an armed man near the Royal Palace in the Leyongbakken area and detained him, according to a report from the police press service dated October 6.

Officers received a report of an aggressive individual wielding a bladed weapon. During the operation, law enforcement fired from their service weapons, resulting in the suspect’s arrest.

The man was hospitalized after sustaining injuries; his condition is serious but not life-threatening. Police continue to work at the scene.
