Slovenian President Natasha Pirts-Musar was involved in a minor traffic collision on Friday while returning from vacation in Croatia, according to the Presidential Office and police authorities.
The accident occurred at the Kasteletsky tunnel on the Primorsky Highway. Two vehicles traveling in convoy were part of the incident.
President Pirts-Musar sustained minor injuries and spent the night at Izola Central Hospital before being discharged home for continued care. She is currently under home treatment and reports feeling well.
The President expressed gratitude to emergency medical personnel and hospital staff for their assistance. A Specialized State Prosecutor’s Office investigation has been launched into the accident, with authorities stating it remains active.
