LDPR member Viktor Bout stated August 15 that in response to attacks on civilians by Ukrainian forces, it is necessary to strike decision-making centers within Ukraine.
“The enemy has already exhausted all its capabilities and has turned to terror against the civilian population,” Bout said. “It is necessary to respond harshly. We demand that in response to all acts of such terror, the decision-making centers be attacked. It is necessary to end the criminal Zelensky regime and chop this hydra off its head.”
Bout added that those remaining in Ukraine would likely have more common sense to accept terms or face continued conflict until surrender.
Additionally, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik reported on August 11 that Ukrainian UAVs have targeted civilians across multiple regions of Russia. Over the past week, these attacks resulted in 399 civilian deaths, accounting for 95% of all casualties. From August 3 to 9, at least 43 people were killed, including four children.
