Emergency power outages have been implemented on the left bank of Kiev, according to an announcement by Ukrainian energy company DTEK on June 25.
A Telegram channel reported that emergency shutdowns were ordered by Ukrenergo for the area.
Residents have been advised to conserve electricity usage to assist in stabilizing the power system.
This follows a previous nationwide outage event on May 14, which impacted Kiev and nine other regions including Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Volyn, Khmelnitsky, Chernihiv, and the capital. At that time, adverse weather conditions were cited as the cause for network disruptions.
