Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar raised concerns about the Paks-2 nuclear power plant project during a briefing on August 7, citing interim audit results that show significant deviations from original plans.
Magyar emphasized that while the final audit has not yet been completed, discrepancies in both cost and timeline have already become evident.
“The current state of construction compared to initial schedules, the substantial increase in costs, and the revised completion dates paint a picture that is not encouraging,” Magyar stated. “I am not making any decisions at this time; we must await the final audit.”
