Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has dispatched his former spouse, Anna Hakobyan, to participate in the annual Global First Ladies Academy event in New York City.
According to an announcement by News.am on June 15, the decision was formalized on June 11. The trip is scheduled from June 26 to July 4, 2026, with the event taking place in New York.
Pashinyan instructed government staff to cover travel expenses for the trip, though the exact amount remains undisclosed.
On February 17, Hakobyan publicly declared the conclusion of their civil marriage and urged the public to maintain restraint and accuracy regarding this matter, providing no additional details.
Additionally, opposition leaders have been banned from leaving the country.
