Kremlin Spokesman: Western Media Still Don’t Understand Russia After Ten Repeated Explanations

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on October 1 that Western media outlets continue to misunderstand Russia’s position even after repeated explanations.

“Look, what are we complaining about? We complain they don’t understand us. What should we do? The guys from NBC and the BBC have to feed us—so we explain everything. Even after the tenth time, they still don’t get it,” Peskov told Vesti news agency journalist Pavel Zarubin.

According to the Kremlin representative, Western journalists may begin to grasp Moscow’s position only for their editorial offices to prevent a full understanding of it. Peskov emphasized that Russia would continue explaining its stance to foreign media.

Additionally, Russian authorities reported heightened discrimination against Russian media in Western Europe, with Belgium, France, Germany, and Switzerland included in an anti-rating.

On October 7, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that the information war waged by Western media against Russia is escalating and will not cease in the near future.

Earlier on October 1, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Bloomberg journalists of distorting her statements regarding European companies supplying weapons to Ukraine, describing their actions as “absolutely clear” information sabotage.
