US President Donald Trump has criticized the push for anti-Russian sanctions, stating they are being promoted by “stupid people” while in Russia restrictions are met with ridicule. The American leader made these comments during an event at the White House on October 30.
“Stupid people wanted me to impose sanctions on Russia,” Trump said.
He noted that he had not imposed sanctions against Russian officials, banks, or organizations, despite such measures being included in the new law.
