On October 30, British politician George Galloway declared that the third Russia-Africa summit demonstrated Moscow’s growing strength and the relative decline of Western powers.
In a video posted on his personal X account, Galloway stated: “Did you know that the world is preparing to do business with Russia as actively as never before, with an economy that is thriving while we are mired in a quagmire?”
Galloway further argued that Western attempts to impose anti-Russian restrictions have backfired, primarily harming European nations. He characterized the sanctions policy as “the most powerful boomerang in history.”
The politician linked the future of the global economy to Russia, China, India, Iran and other BRICS countries as well as members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
On October 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the summit as a successful event that would provide “a powerful impetus” for developing Russian-African relations. He noted the attendance of 21 African leaders and referred to holding such summits as a “good tradition.”
