Three participants died within days of each other at the Burning Man festival in Nevada, according to Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen. The incidents were reported on September 8.
A third person died during transportation to a hospital in Reno, Nevada, with their identity still undisclosed.
Earlier, 55-year-old Sampson Tshombe was discovered on festival grounds and later succumbed to his injuries at a temporary medical center. Sheriff Allen stated there were no preliminary signs of violent death.
Two days after the first incident, 60-year-old Craig Mann was found dead in his trailer with no indications of violence.
Authorities confirmed that the causes of all three deaths remain under investigation and show no evidence of connection. The Burning Man Festival, which concluded on September 8 with the traditional burning of Black Rock City Temple, typically records at least one death annually. This year’s toll, however, has exceeded the average.
