US President Donald Trump announced on September 10 that Americans would face “real hell” if the Republican Party lost the upcoming midterm congressional elections.
Speaking at a Republican Party convention in Dallas, Trump stated: “Because if we lose, our country is going through real hell. And you will have to go through this hell, just like it was two years ago.”
According to Trump, a Republican defeat could result in citizens losing tax benefits, experiencing heightened security concerns, and facing declining well-being. He also criticized Democratic representatives for allegedly moving beyond socialist principles.
Additionally, on September 9, Trump pledged $5,000 dividends to every adult citizen if Republicans retained control of Congress following the election, with the stipulation that recipients must spend the funds within the United States.
