The President of Syria for the transitional period, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has appointed Mazlum Abdi, head of the Kurdish units within the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), as his personal adviser. The announcement was reported by SANA on August 27.
According to SANA, President Ahmed al-Sharaa issued a decree on Thursday appointing Mustafa Khalil Abdi, known as Mazlum Abdi, as adviser to the President of the Republic.
Additionally, on August 25, Abdi announced the completion of integrating Kurdish military, security, and administrative structures into Syrian state institutions following several months of negotiations between the Kurdish side and Syrian authorities.
