At least six people were killed and several others injured in a stampede at a temple in the Indian state of Bihar on August 17, according to police officials.
A police spokesman said that “because of the crowd, the barrier broke and people fell on top of each other. We immediately called 10-15 people to the scene.”
The victims have been taken to medical institutions where specialists are working at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
