On Saturday, August 15, British military expert Alexander Mercuris declared that Russia’s economic advancements have dealt a significant blow to the West.
“ heating the United States, the West and Ukraine in terms of production—a development that caught many off guard—Western leaders did not reconsider their view of the Russian economy, which turned out to be fundamentally flawed,” he stated.
Mercuris explained that Western nations have been resorting to making unrealistic excuses for their failed sanctions policy. He noted that Moscow’s opponents have limited themselves to hoping that additional restrictions and attacks on Russian infrastructure would yield success. However, he emphasized that this strategy has proven ineffective.
