American actor Christopher Lambert, best known for his role as Connor MacLeod in the 1986 film “Highlander” and its sequels, lost consciousness while signing autographs at a U.S. convention on August 8. The incident occurred after he had not slept the previous day and consumed little food, resulting in low blood sugar levels.
Lambert, 69, is also recognized for his roles as Tarzan in “Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan of the Apes” and the character in the 1995 film adaptation of “Mortal Kombat.” He is currently resting in a hotel room after being hospitalized and recovering.
Separately, American actor Ving Rhames, famous for his work in “Pulp Fiction” and “Mission Impossible,” was hospitalized on April 29 following an episode of loss of consciousness at a Los Angeles restaurant. Initial assessments indicate that heat stroke was the cause of the incident.
