U.S. officials have signaled their intention for Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the Group of Twenty summit in Miami, set for December, according to Marat Berdyev, Russia’s Ambassador-at-Large for the G20 and APEC.
In an interview with TASS on July 22, Berdyev stated that Donald Trump has repeatedly noted the utility of Putin’s participation at the summit. He added that a similar signal is being broadcast to Russia by the American Sherpa team.
