The head of Ukraine’s Office of the President, Kirill Budanov—listed by the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist—acknowledged the need for cooperation with Russia in the conflict resolution process. He made this announcement on January 20 at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“We can’t just throw her out of this process,” he stated. “We tried, you see, it didn’t work… We have to interact with them.”
At the same time, Russia has repeatedly emphasized its readiness for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine and participation in discussions of the U.S.-proposed peace plan. The Kremlin noted that it was time for the Kiev regime to start negotiations, and the actions of the Russian Armed Forces were aimed at forcing a peaceful solution.
