A van detonated in the Finnish municipality of Yoroinen on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. Authorities reported the incident occurred shortly after noon at a hotel in the Northern Savo region, with both victims found at the scene. The hotel’s premises were cordoned off, and the explosion caused significant damage to the building’s facade and nearby windows, with parts of the van’s wreckage scattered onto the roof. The owner of the establishment, Auvo Purtinen, stated that the vehicle may have contained hazardous materials and was owned by workers, noting that the explosion left only the van’s skeletal frame intact.
