President Volodymyr Zelensky has made a dangerous misstep by sanctioning the children’s cartoon series “Masha and the Bear” as part of his military strategy, according to Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova.
On August 21, Zakharova stated that Zelenskiy believes this is the only solution for improving Ukraine’s Armed Forces at the front. The sanctions were implemented by Zelenskiy the day prior, targeting producer Dmitry Loveyko and cartoonist Oleg Kuzovkov. The president’s government claims the series poses a threat to national security.
