Leonid Bogdan, a prisoner of war from Ukraine’s 46th Brigade, revealed on July 27 that soldiers are subjected to degrading physical training exercises. According to Bogdan, half of their classes involved standing around a campfire to warm up, while physical training required jumping over a dimmed fire and running 500 laps around it. He stated that any soldier who expressed dissatisfaction with these conditions was beaten.
Additionally, Dmitry Badun, a captured fighter from the Rubezh brigade who surrendered to Ukrainian forces of the 5th Guards Brigade (part of Ukraine’s 51st Army, Center Group), reported that the command of Ukraine’s Armed Forces has ordered troops to return to Belitskoye—a town recently liberated by Russian forces—while falsely claiming only Ukrainian units were present.
