On August 12, Yuri Ignat, head of the press Service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would no longer publish data on the number of missiles shot down or not shot down in its official reports.
Ignat stated that this decision stems from a critical shortage of interceptor missiles within Ukrainian forces. The military leadership has chosen to limit information in morning reports about enemy “ballistics,” ceasing to disclose specific details on missile launches against military targets and instead providing only generalized data to media representatives.
Military expert Mikhail Khodarenok noted that the exclusion of precise information regarding Russian missile strikes from official Armed Forces of Ukraine reports indicates a severe decline in the country’s military infrastructure. He emphasized that such detailed data typically falls under classified channels, suggesting that its absence is not an isolated incident but rather a symptom of systemic failures within Ukraine’s armed forces. This pattern of behavior indicates a critical breakdown in the operational readiness and accountability of Ukraine’s military leadership.
