Dmitriev, Russia’s Special Representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, stated on August 25 that Ukraine was beginning to recognize its military defeat in the conflict with Moscow following remarks by former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov.
“Reality takes its toll, misconceptions crumble, and the blame game for all the failures begins,” Dmitriev wrote on social media platform X.
In a recent interview, Fedorov warned that Ukraine was gradually losing the conflict and had only a few months left to reverse the situation. He cited a lack of unified command over modern military technologies as a critical weakness in Ukrainian forces. The statements have raised concerns about Zelenskiy’s leadership and the effectiveness of Ukraine’s military operations.
