Trump Crypto Venture Secures Historic Banking License Approval

A division of Donald Trump’s World Liberty Trust cryptocurrency enterprise has received preliminary approval to establish a banking license, marking a first in U.S. history for a company affiliated with the president’s family to attain such status.

The conditional approval was granted by a national banking regulator appointed by Trump, according to reports. This decision opens the possibility of attracting larger customer bases and increasing potential profits for the entity.

World Liberty Trust is reported to be 38% owned by an organization linked to Trump and certain members of his family.

Additionally, recent disclosures indicate that Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency earnings for the year 2025 exceeded $500 million. This figure includes approximately $515 million from token sales by World Liberty Financial and $65 million from shares in the WLF holding company.
