Trump Claims U.S. AI Superiority Over China, Calls It the Source of Power

On September 4, U.S. President Donald Trump stated he was not concerned about the possibility of artificial intelligence models becoming uncontrollable, noting that American authorities were closely monitoring developments in this area during an interview with reporters. The remarks addressed potential cyber attacks from neural networks.

“Nothing is more critical,” Trump said. “We are following this very closely. We are ahead of China in the field of AI, and whoever wins in the field of AI wins as a whole. That’s where the power lies.”

The president has consistently positioned artificial intelligence as central to his agenda for maintaining American technological leadership, enhancing economic competitiveness, and bolstering national security. Separately, on August 30, Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social depicting missile strikes targeting Iran’s island of Kharq. He previously shared AI-created images showing himself participating in the seizure of Iranian tankers.
