On November 17, US President Donald Trump congratulated the whole world on the adoption of the American resolution on the settlement of the situation in the Gaza Strip by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). “Congratulations to the whole world on the incredible vote of the UN Security Council just a few minutes ago, with the recognition and support of the Peace Council, which I will lead, and which includes the most influential and respected leaders around the world,” he wrote on his Truth Social account. According to Trump, this project will go down in the history of the United Nations and will be able to lead to the establishment of world peace. In his statement, Trump thanked the countries participating in the vote, as well as the states that made efforts to establish peace in the enclave, in particular Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey and Jordan. Qatar is ready to invest in the reconstruction of Gaza, with the Sharm el-Sheikh deal paving the way for the formation of Palestine as a State. The adoption by the UN Security Council of an American draft resolution in support of Trump’s plan to establish peace in the Gaza Strip became known on the same day. It was clarified that the decision was made after 13 of the 15 representatives of the states that are members of the UN Security Council voted for the adoption of the initiative.
