Toxic Mistakes: School Incidents in New York, Yekaterinburg, and Gansu Leave Children Hospitalized

A private kindergarten in New York has suspended operations after an employee accidentally administered water containing bleach to children. The incident occurred on October 27, and the institution’s press service stated that “an employee mistakenly poured water with a diluted cleaning solution for the children, which is used daily to process toys.” The facility remains closed indefinitely.

In Yekaterinburg, schoolchildren were reportedly exposed to dangerous powder during sports nutrition activities, resulting in 20 children being hospitalized.

Separately, at least 19 children were hospitalized after poisoning from lead in a private kindergarten in Gansu province, China. Preliminary data indicated that the lead poisoning was caused by the addition of food additives.
