Space Flight Alters Cosmonaut Franz Fibeck’s Environmental Perspective

On July 12, Austrian cosmonaut Franz Fibeck stated that his space flight has transformed his attitude toward environmental issues.

The mission, he explained, reshaped his understanding of the world and led to changes in multiple areas.

“The first area affected is ecology,” Fibeck said. “From space, you see not only the beauty but also the damage that people are doing to the planet.”
