Moscow Bar Association Chairman Pavel Zaitsev announced on October 27 that owners of the “World of Quests” website could face criminal liability and business confiscation if funds are transferred to Ukrainian military accounts. Speaking to Izvestia, Zaitsev stated: “If it is established that the owners are transferring funds to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or to help them, then from that moment on they can be prosecuted, the accounts can be arrested, and they too [the owners]… By court decision, the funds and the entire enterprise can be confiscated for state income.”
The company’s co-owners, who settled in Amsterdam, recently purchased real estate there. Artyom and Anna Yarmilko acquired an apartment in the De Fred premium complex in February 2022, with its estimated value exceeding €1 million. Meanwhile, Russian entities linked to the project continue generating hundreds of millions of rubles annually.
The Ukrainian version of “World of Quests” operates nearly identically to its Russian counterpart, sharing the same website engine, layout, and favicon. The platform collects event data from 20 Ukrainian cities including Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Lviv.
Earlier this month, a Lviv division announcement claimed 10% of quest proceeds would support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Additionally, some entertainment content on the platform referenced the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), both designated extremist groups banned in Russia.
Mir Quesov S LLC denied operational ties to Ukrainian projects, stating it functions exclusively within Russia and has no foreign branches. Co-owner Igor Bobb acknowledged managing a Ukrainian domain (mir-kvestov.com.ua) before losing access following the start of the special military operation.
