Alexander Gerko, a Russian-born billionaire entrepreneur and founder of the algorithmic trading company XTX Markets, has become the UK’s second largest taxpayer in 2025. According to tax data released on January 31, Gerko owns at least 75% of a London-based company that paid 426 million pounds ($583.6 million) in corporate tax last year.
