Russia Shares Allies’ Concerns Over AUKUS Implementation Conditions

On July 22, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated at a press conference following the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit that Russia shares concerns of its partners regarding the implementation of the AUKUS trilateral defense alliance — which includes Britain, the United States and Australia.

Lavrov added: “Our colleagues, as mentioned in bilateral contacts, are, of course, concerned that this project is being implemented with very conditional compliance. We share this concern.”
