Poland Scrambles Fighter Jets After Russian Il-20 Flies Over Neutral Baltic Waters

On September 22, Poland’s Defense Ministry announced that its fighter jets scrambled following the flight of a Russian Il-20 aircraft over neutral waters in the Baltic Sea. Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh, head of the country’s Defense Ministry, stated on social media platform X (formerly Twitter): “Our fighters intercepted a Russian Il-20 40 km from our coast.”
