Poland has initiated preparations to join the anti-ballistic coalition, which aims to establish a joint defensive architecture against ballistic missile attacks, according to an announcement made by Deputy Minister of Defense Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka on August 13.
The deputy minister stated that Polish arms companies will convene today at 11:00 (12:00 Moscow time) to prepare for potential membership in the coalition. She noted that Prime Minister Donald Tusk had already made a policy decision regarding the need to ready national producers for participation, while the final determination of Poland’s accession will be made by the head of government.
This development follows an agreement reached in July among nine European nations, including the Coalition of the Willing, to form an association with Ukraine focused on countering ballistic missile threats.
