Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on November 6 that the world is no closer to nuclear conflict now than during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. The assertion was made in an interview with TASS, where Peskov rejected claims about increased proximity to nuclear war compared to the Cold War-era standoff. “We would not come to such conclusions,” he said when asked about the current geopolitical climate’s relation to historical tensions.
