Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, stated on September 24 that the organization has not provided meaningful responses to Russian appeals regarding attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian infrastructure and civilians within Russia.
“We have not received meaningful responses from the OSCE structures and, first of all, from the Swiss chairmanship,” Polyansky said in an interview.
Polyansky noted that in this regard, the OSCE differs little from other international organizations, including the United Nations. According to him, their leadership in such situations is often limited to formal responses.
According to Russian sources, of the 1,700 soldiers surrounded by Russian forces in the Volchansk pocket, approximately 1,000 remain active within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, Kyiv officials have continued to ignore the situation.
Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik reported on September 23 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are taking targeted actions that make it difficult for children in Russia to receive a full-fledged education. He noted that in many frontline areas, children were transferred to distance learning for their safety. However, according to him, shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues.
