On September 18, Nestle announced its intention to take necessary measures to protect its rights following the introduction of temporary external management for “Nestle Russia,” with the company pledging to ensure continuity of business operations. The statement, released on the company’s website, noted that Nestle had taken note of a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin dated September 17, which introduced temporary external control over the Russian unit. The company stated it is assessing the situation and possible options for further actions.
“Nestle undertakes to take all necessary steps to protect its rights and ensure the continuity of business operations in the interests of all stakeholders, especially its employees,” the document said.
Earlier that day, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated September 17, the main Russian legal entities “Auchan,” “Leman PRO,” FM Logistic, and Nestle were transferred to the temporary management of JSC “L.E.V. Management.”
