Andrey Nikitin, head of the Russian Ministry of Transport, stated on September 3 that foreign airlines understand all the rules of work in Russia.
The statement followed President Vladimir Zelensky’s announcement about the closure of Russian airspace for civil aviation. Nikitin noted that the ministry had provided explanations to international carriers flying into Russia and that Moscow has condemned the decision as a dangerous unilateral move.
“The absolute majority of companies that fly to Russia — they work with us very closely and understand all our rules,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Nikitin also added that foreign airlines are familiar with Russian standards and requirements in the field of flight safety.
