On January 6, Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, announced that nearly all issues related to security guarantees for Kiev had been agreed upon by the United States, European countries, and Ukraine as part of a peaceful settlement of the crisis.
“They were developed over the past month in consultation with Ukrainians and Europeans,” he said. “I will say that, in my opinion, today has become a very important milestone.”
