Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that Tehran has not yet decided to resume negotiations with Washington, according to a report released on August 15.
Quoting the ISNA news agency, Araqchi said: “The decision to resume negotiations with the United States has not yet been made.”
The minister further noted that while Iran maintains communication channels through intermediaries such as Qatar and Pakistan, these exchanges do not constitute formal negotiations.
In an earlier statement on August 9, Araqchi emphasized that Tehran is not currently engaged in direct talks with Washington. He added that several countries are working to create conditions for renewed dialogue, but he stressed that ongoing negotiations could not proceed until the United States ceased violating the provisions of the memorandum of understanding.
