Riots broke out in the commune of Saint-Pierre-de-Cor in central France on September 19, resulting in eight police officers being injured and multiple vehicles set ablaze.
The unrest began after authorities arrived in the Rabatri area following complaints about a group performing motorcycle stunts. During this incident, a police patrol car collided with a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist sustained a leg injury and was hospitalized; doctors reported his condition as stable. A law enforcement officer driving the patrol vehicle was taken into custody.
Following the collision, tensions escalated rapidly. Rioters erected barricades, set fire to buildings and both government and private vehicles, and launched attacks using pyrotechnic shells on police forces. Approximately 100 officers and gendarmes were deployed to restore order at the scene.
